Worldview Camp!

Hey everyone, wanted to get the word out on our upcoming Worldview Camp.  If you’ll be around during the summer, you don’t want to miss this!

The Worldview Camp has become an annual tradition here at Gracepoint Fellowship Church. It has been designed to train and equip the minds of college students in important topics, such as:

  • Abortion
  • Euthanasia
  • Science and faith
  • Sexual Ethics
  • and much, much more

This year, Sean McDowell will come as the guest speaker.  If you’d like to attend, be sure to sign up by May 15 at our sign-up page

Worldview Camp 2009

Last Friday: Cordonices Park

Instead of bowling after Bible Study/GTS, all of Kairos headed up north in Berkeley to Cordonices Park. We slid down the steep stone slide (on a piece of cardboard), played frisbee (glow in the dark), explored a dark tunnel, and had awesome snacks. Here’s a video recap of the slide, with our leader Tim performing a perfect dismount, Kairos lead, Sue Yi, having second thoughts going down the slide, and… the “marshmallow middle”!

Pics: Easter Sunday & G-Live

Easter Sunday (4/12/09) was an amazing time of remembering and celebrating what Jesus had done on the cross for us. We had an awesome praise time, monologue by Josh, message, and a special time of mini reflections (one of which given by our very own Tim), and some more awesome praise. Here’s a recap in pictures.

Special G-Live pic. I stumbled upon this image recently. It’s Kevin! And who can forget his lines in the skit… one of them being, “I’m going to cook and clean my way into your heart!” Great job, Kevin!

G-Live 2009 was a Success!

Thanks for all those that came out to support Gracepoint Fellowship Church’s theatrical production… GLive ’09: Undo. It was amazing that 1900+ people (not including our members) came to watch the production over the span of 3 showtimes. I hope that many people could relate to the characters and situations portrayed in the skits, cause them to think about their own lives, and ultimately have an enjoyable and memorable experience. I think I can speak for all the people that worked behind the scenes that we all had an awesome time putting it together, all for the sake of sharing the Gospel in an exciting and relevant way!

Please share your comments about the show by posting a reply! I will leave you with the intro video to G-Live, which was shown at the beginning of the event to kick-start the time. People are still taking about it! Gonna have to watch it several times to catch everything.

V-Day of Compassion Recap

Kairos 4 had an awesome and blessed time joining with Kairos 2 to go to the Henry Robinson Multi Service Center last Saturday for Valentine’s Day. We had the opportunity to meet a lot of adults and children of various ages there. We “got down” by singing and dancing led by Johnny (K2) and his dance troupe (Cristina, Ryan, and Lin), heard a poignant message by Abe (K2), made bead jewelry, played the cup stacking game and the ever-popular King Kong Shower.

Afterwards, all the Kairos got together at Tim’s place for dinner, then off to ALameda High gym for some sports fellowship. The sisters got together likewise for a time of fun at Northloop.

Here are some photos of our VDay prep and evening wind-down:
