Hi everyone!
Your break is almost half over now, huh? Hope it’s been very restful! I also hope it’s been at least somewhat productive! But, if you’re finding boredom starting to settle in (or well-established), I wanted to offer some online resources to help keep your mind a little active…
Especially if you don’t have a church you’re going to, or, if you’re like my parents up in Seattle, had been snowed in and couldn’t get the car out of the driveway for a couple of weekends, you can still hear a pretty good message from your own home.
2) Check out our Resources page.
It has our daily devotion text, complete with commentaries and suggested reflection questions, which you can utilize to study Bible passages on your own each day. There are also a bunch of other resources on this page that you can look into.
***Take note half-way down this page… the link to the “Dis-Gracepoint” blog. If you want to laugh, well, you’ll laugh. It’s pretty funny.
Chuck Colson is one of the main writers of these editorials which offer a Christian worldview to current events (something you’ll for sure never hear or read about in the supposedly “fair” media except with denigrating reference by liberal reporters, or reporters that are pressured by liberal peers and editors). Who’s Chuck Colson? Can read about him on wikipedia, but in short, he was involved in the Watergate scandal, as one of the top advisors to President Nixon, went to prison for it, became a Christian, founded Prison Fellowship International, wrote many books, all of which I’d highly recommend to you, including an autobiography that specifically talks about his Watergate involvement, imprisonment and conversion (book is called Born Again).
Anyway, that should be enough to tide you over for three weeks.
Enjoy!
Debbie
