Action-Packed Saturday!

UPDATE: For the brothers, we’ve unfortunately canceled the Saturday outing. However, we’ll still be getting together.

We’re going to Val’s (a great mom & pop burger place!) in Castro Valley, then heading back to Alameda for some time of sports/studying. You decide. So come and hang out with us!

We’ve talked about it… and now the time is finally here! This Saturday (3/14) all the Kairos guys will be getting together to go to Santa Cruz (Mt. Hermon) for a time of adventure and fun. We’re going to be going on a ropes course and do some indoor rock climbing. There will also be time of football and frisbee, too. If that’s not enough, we’re going to end the day at the beach with a bonfire and awesome food. So you missed out last beach trip? No fret, this will be the ultimate relaxation day, after your midterms!

My thesis project and school work has been pretty intense thus far, so you’ll definitely see me there to unwind and de-stress!

Sisters Dimsum & SF Trip

All Kairos Maxwell Field Sports Nite · Fri 10/15

This Friday night, Kairos 4 will be joining the rest of the other Kairos groups for Maxwell Field Sports Nite! Ultimate Frisbee, Dodgeball, Braveheart, Handball… oh my! We’re going to be all heading over to Maxwell Field after our respective dinners and bible studies by 9:45pm and start at 10pm. Looking forward to seeing y’all there, and meeting all the other Kairos college students!

Can’t make it to bible study? That’s cool, we’d still like to see you there at Maxwell Field!

Have friends/floormates that wanna play? Bring ‘em along too! All are welcomed!

The Muir Woods… Not Just Any “Mere” Woods

Man I’m really looking forward to our half-day trip to the Muir Woods this Saturday!  Aren’t y’all itching to get out of your rooms, out of the library, away from the computer screen to get some fresh air? (raises hand)

Where else would be a better place to get fresh air than in the rustic Muir Woods, one of the Bay Area’s most beautiful destinations!  I’m super excited about this trip.  It’ll be a refreshing light hike through the woods, a nice lunch (on us!), and an opportunity to meet people and just hang out!

Well, I hope that many people come!  See you all bright and early at Unit 1 (Durant side), 9:30am!  I’ll bring a frisbee and a football… maybe we can all play at lunchtime!

Ultimate Success

Thanks for those that came out to the ultimate frisbee and pizza last week. We had just enough people to play a game… and boy was it a game! I don’t think I’ve ever ran so much playing Ultimate in my life.

By the end of the night, I think everyone improved a lot (myself included!). I think it helped to have a player who plays on the actual Ultimate Frisbee Club team to show us a thing or two about how to actually play.

Oh, and the pizzas help shave off the appetite we worked up before, during, and after we played. Mmmm… For those that couldn’t make it, you don’t wanna miss next time’s game!
